The Most Instagrammable Places In NI

  1. The Dark Hedges

Made famous by Game of Thrones, the Dark Hedges are one of the most popular spots for taking pictures in Northern Ireland. And for good reason! The backdrop they make is amazing, take a look for yourself!

The vibe can completely change depending on the time of day, but one thing stays the same. It looks like something from a fairy tale! The Dark Hedges has become a popular spot for proposals too, and it’s clear to see why.

You can take tours from Belfast which visit The Dark Hedges, as well as many other Game of Thrones locations in Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction is the Giant’s Causeway. This unique rock formation filled with myths and legends makes for a great day out. But also some great photos, and that’s why it is one of the most Instagrammable places in Northern Ireland.

A lot of people wonder can you swim at the Giant’s Causeway. Unfortunately, you can’t, but what you can do, is take some amazing pics for the ‘gram!

Nicknamed “The Big Fish”, this iconic Belfast sculpture is definitely one of the best places to take photos in Northern Ireland. I mean, just look at it! It’s a big mosaic fish- what more could you ask for?!

Fun fact, it’s a local Belfast myth that kissing the Salmon of Knowledge brings wisdom to the kisser. Whether you choose to believe that or not, The Big Fish definitely shows Belfast’s history as each tile represents a part of the city’s past.

This is one of my favourite spots on the whole island of Ireland. The Cuilcagh Mountain Trail is the definition of an Instagrammable spot in Northern Ireland. This stairway to heaven is an unmissable experience if you are visiting NI. It’s like being on another world.

If you choose to complete the entire walk, it’s about 11km. But be warned, it’s not for the faint-hearted. Although, the Instagram pics that come out of it, definitely make it worth it.
