Zurich is known for being one of the most expensive cities in the world to visit, and as a budget traveller, you might think I struggled to keep my budget down.

But the truth is, I managed to spend less than $40 a day in Zurich and Basel, two cities I have visited in Switzerland. I loved the country and I can’t wait to check out more of it (looking at you, Grindelwald and Interlaken).
